OTHER EARLY RACERS

 

Many of the early southern racers went on to drive supers, while some didn't. The one thing all the early racers had in common was they were the foundation of the sport. They are the ones that took the sport of automobile racing to new levels.

   Many of the small dirt tracks that once dotted the southern landscape no longer exist, except in memory only, like the quarter-mile Dallas, Georgia track that ran from 1954-1958. We have gone back and tried to incorporate as many of the small, early tracks as possible.
